The study programme in the field of administration encompasses common syllabus for all majors - public administration, social services and work, and services for foreign affairs during the first year and covers the cours groups of elements of sociology, psychology, jurisprudence, management and organisation, logics, statistics, philosophy, microeconomics and macroeconomics, mental work techniques, computer science, ethics, and also physical education and languages.
During the second and third year of study students carry on their education at one of the chosen majors:
- public administration
- social services and work
- services for foreign affairs
Vocational trainingThe important element of students’ education at DWSSP ‘ASESOR’ is professional training in public institutions to develop students’ vocational competence. The school also provides international training within the confines of agreements with partners and Leonardo da Vinci grant – in England, Denmark, Germany and Finland. Our students gain knowledge while taking part in various educational trips to Czech Republic – Crisis Management Centre in Ostrawa, to Holland – Social Help Centre in Breda and to Belgium – European Commission and NATO in Brussels.
Foreign languagesOur students attend obligatory foreign languages courses in English, German, Russian, French, Italian and Spanish. Full-time students have to study two chosen foreign languages while part-time students – one. The syllabus and vocabulary are matched with students’ faculty and majors. Students are also fully informed and well prepared to take international exams and get honourable certificates from Cambridge University, Goethe Institute, Alliance Francaise and Cervantes Institute.
SportDuring physical education classes there are various activities organized for students such as team games (basketball and volleyball), aerobics, swimming. There is also basketball school team “DWSSP ‘ASESOR’ SHOW” coached by Krzysztof Walonis.
Computer scienceWhile taking this course students get knowledge about IT and the possibility of using it in public administration. Our students work in modern computer centres with access to the Internet.
