The Lower Silesian College of Public Services ‘ASESOR’ has held two projects within the confines of the European Union programmes ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ and ‘The Jean Monnet Project – European Integration of University Studies’.
‘Leonardo da Vinci Programme’ – achievements
So far there have been two editions of foreign vocational training projects for students within the confines Leonardo da Vinci Program held: the project entitled ‘Practical placement for future administrative and social services workers – Pro Public’ and the project entitled ‘Practical placement for future administrative and social services workers – Pro Public 2’. This year the third project entitled ‘Practical placement for future social workers – SOCIUS’ will be held, thanks to which 15 students will have their 13 and 17-week training in Great Britain, Finland and Germany.
- In 2002 22 students took part in professional training in Great Britain, Germany, Denmark and Finland within the confines of the project entitled ‘Practical placement for future administrative and social services workers – Pro Public’ – 10 students in Great Britain, 4 in Finland, 3 in Denmark, 5 in Germany.
- In 2003 14 students took part in professional training in Great Britain and Germany within the confines of the project entitled ‘Practical placement for future administrative and social services workers – Pro Public 2’ – 10 students in Great Britain, 4 in Germany.
- In 2005 15 students took part in professional training in Great Britain, Germany and Finland within the confines of the project entitled ‘Practical placement for future social workers – SOCIUS’ – 4 students in Great Britain, 6 in Finland, 5 in Germany.
The foreign costs – accommodation, food, travel and insurance – are covered by the funds from Leonardo da Vinci grant. The school also provides pedagogical and language courses free of charge before the training.

‘The Jean Monnet Project – European Integration of University Studies’ – achievements
In the Lower Silesian College of Public Services ‘ASESOR’ there was held European Module in 2001 – 2004. The project was entitled ‘The challenges of the European Integration’. In the programme of educational module there were lectures, seminars and conferences. The taught subjects were, among others, the history of the European Union, the economy of the European Union, the propaedeutics of European law, public administration in the chosen countries of the European Union, regional co-operation, social policy in Poland and the European Union, European Social Fund, structural funds of the European Union. There were performed seminars and open lectures on Regions Europe, Lobbing in the European Union, women rights and equality between men and women in the European Union and also educational and cultural policy of the European Union.
- In 2001/2002 208 students took part in 72-hour lectures given by 5 academic teachers.
- In 2002/2003 the number of students who took part in this project increased to 455 students and moreover, the lectures of 390 hours were given by 8 academic teachers.
- In 2003/2004 467 students took part in 422-hour lectures given by 12 academic teachers.
The School plan includes presenting the grant project for Jean Monnet professors and Jean Monnet European Centres of excellence as well.
